Two by Two Ranch & Petting Zoo and Funny Faces have sponsored the annual “Wings of Eagles Family Fun Day” since 2008. We were inspired to create this event when a friend’s 5-year-old son was diagnosed with leukemia. We wanted to help and wanted to make people smile while doing it. Our Family Fun Day is a great opportunity for the community to donate to this wonderful organization while enjoying a petting zoo, face painting, balloon tying, bounce house by Chico Party Bouncers, and a yummy lunch provided by the Barbeque Patriots. We donate 100% of all proceeds made at the event. This year, the event will held on September 17th, from 10am-2pm @ Two by Two Ranch: 13080 Hosler Ave. in Chico. “Wings of Eagles” is the Joseph Alvarez Organization for seriously ill children. “Wings” was established in June of 1993 by Georgia Alvarez, in memory of her son Joseph who died of a very rare and terminal form of leukemia in January of 1991. Since “Wings” inception, over a million dollars have been raised to help children in and about northern California who have various forms of serious, life threatening illnesses, with preference given to pediatric cancer cases. Hundreds of families who have a child with a serious illness have been served by “Wings,” relieving their financial and emotional burdens. “Wings of Eagles” is an all-denominational, nonprofit, public benefit corporation. All funds raised directly benefit families who have a seriously ill child.
