BOOK SIGNING with local author Karen McHenry on Friday, September 9th from 6 – 9 pm. 

Join us for a fun evening with the author of The Tattoos of Chico, Karen McHenry! Also joining the party will be Local Tattoo Artist Tanner Drake, along with the band Empty Gate for live music.

“Watching person after person walk past every day with tattoos on their arms, legs, and elsewhere at the local gym, the author wondered why they chose the tattoos they did. Her interviews with nineteen people of all ages include stories of loss and pain commemorating their strength in the tattoos. Some became addicted to adding art to their bodies. Each shares reasons for the artwork and/or text they selected. All are admirers of ink enabling them to carry stories on the skin. Brief narratives of the tattoo artists highlight their experiences and full color photos show off their work.”
